Calgary Girls' School came up with this fantastic idea for the Regional Trains where each student created their train out of clay and once dried and fired, they painted the body of the train according to the region they were studying. Congratulations Ms Comeau on receiving a free clay class for your Canadian Symbols suggestion. Ms Comeau, a grade 5 social studies teacher at Mayland Heights, suggested that a variety of symbols can be included on students' personalized Canadian plaque, including a beaver, moose, flag, money, the rockies, maple leaf or a hockey stick. All teachers that submit a new idea that become a viable clay project receives a free clay class for their students. We offer additional "Curriculum Support" material for the Log Cabin Schoolhouse. |
