Curriculum Connections
We welcome you to Clay for Kids art and curriculum programs designed for schools, daycares and higher education facilities.
All Clay for Kids projects are linked to the Alberta Program of Studies and can enrich all curriculum. Highlighted here are creative ways connections can be made to the Language Arts curriculum.
- Recreate a Setting (image of castle)
- Recreate characters (image of character in relief, 3-D, and mask)
- Make personal connections to characters (double sided personal trophy)
- Make cultural connections to literature (Aztec Sun; Chinese Dragon; Native Masks)
- Author Study (Eric Carle; Bugs on a Leaf or Crucifix or Circle of Friends for Max Lucado)
- Connect prior to a new theme (horse prior to a Western themed novel)
- Culminate a theme or literature study (coil pot with decoration of theme; ie. friendship)
Talk to us about your classroom plans and how a clay experience would extend your curriculum.
